I can perfectly understand how Changeman wouldn't draw one in, due to how it takes it's time introducing the characters to you. But man, when you really get to know them, the cast really kicks butt!

I love how in Changeman, each episode gives all five characters the development to grow up more, even if some of the characters are not the focus of the episode. After ep 6, you should have some idea about what each of the five are like. But there's a ton more to learn about them. And that's what the rest of the season is for.

The actors to the five characters truly do their best with their acting talents. And I think it helped that Ibuki's actor was played by an experienced veteran actor. So I think that helped them. Changeman's character development really helps each of the characters grow. It's not as in-your-face as most of the sentai that came after Changeman (which is not a bad thing. But it makes Changeman's execution a unique one).
