Was Wild Chalice intended as the original Paradoxa?

Maybe Chalice was intended to be another BOARD-type Rider instead of the Joker assuming Mantis's form, hence the heart-shaped buckle and exclusive use of Heart cards.

Isaka specifically calls Chalice a "suit" while examining his battle with Kenzaki using a computer in one of the early episodes. So, yes, it's pretty clear that the entire nature of that transformation was changed from its original concept. That's why the design doesn't really fit with the other Undead.

Not to mention the Chalice arrow just oh so happened to have a slot to insert the Joker Buckle into. Seems too much of a coincidence to me.

Yeah, having a modular system like that would make sense for the BOARD made Riders but not as much for Chalice if he's not using BOARD tech.

Just think of it as Hajime's Joker powers evolved to match his own joker rouzer to chalice's weapon :p

Of course it would make sense if it's a rival company for BOARD that made Chalice or something. Perhaps made by Hirose's father?

Either way I'm glad we got what we got. Chalice is one of the nicest looking Heisei suits, and Hajime is also one of the more interesting characters concept wise.
