I said vinyl toys specifically. I realize that toy gimmicks are firmly ingrained into children's tokusatsu.
What I'm saying is that they need a new one. Certainly one that's more imaginative.

I don't even care about the Spark Doll gimmick. I just can't stand how incredibly low-rent and poorly-executed the whole ordeal is. It's downright shameful.

Bandai's results for 2013 showed that the Ultra franchise made more money from toy sales last year than it has done in ages. They'll keep milking it 'till it turns to cheese (i.e. until sales start dropping again).
