I've been thinking if this Ultraman is indeed canon to the Ultra series it doesnt make any sense because Ultraman Ginga doesnt exist in the future unless they explain his absence somehow. Or maybe he's not from M78? :hmm:

I dont see why they just didnt continue into the future. Hell the present day earth still seems like the future to me in the Ultra series anyways with all their hi-tech weaponry/gadgets and stuff. Im still excited to see something new though. Regardless of how stupid this seems like its going to be.

I'm going towards an alternate universe where giant monsters and the paranormal force governments to band together to create a force with advanced weapons to deal with them. We see tech of the 60s and 70s in the original Showa series ,but ammo versus butter.

Tsuburaya needs to market their latest shows, and perhaps, invest in making Ultraman relevant to the kids and family audience like the original one by making full shows that aren't fanservice. It wouldn't hurt if they didn't waste their funds on making movies than make shows that can give them cash.

If they got issues with merchandise, just give the people combinable robots and have it fight alongside Ultraman.

About the Ultramen and monsters have been turned into figures known as Spark Dolls, kind of reminds me from Gokaiger's Ranger Keys that the Super Sentais had become.

i totally agree, it's like they are just not forgetting the past at all. i want to see new storylines and universes not involving previous ultramen or monsters, it's been almost ten years since you have been doing this(since ultraman max with the past monsters returning).

Regardless...they've been played out. How many ultra's since Max are gonna keep fighting and killing the same ol kaiju? Popular or not it's getting quite redundant.
