Hard to pick a favourite lead character, usually I like a couple of them in each as a group. Probably Terra or Cloud, then. Any main character? Faris, Celes, Vincent, Freya, Kimahri.

most of the lead in final fantasy are not as interesting as the other characters in the game. Example: Zell is way cooler and more fun then Squall.
