Two Namco Vs Capcom games in the works?

If I am reading this correctly one will play more like tekken and the other would play more like a VS game. Thats the only reason to use two different engines. Well well now I have a reason to buy something other then a wii then. All these fighters that are out for these systems keep telling me to buy.

I can see the transition into 2D with Tekken being a lot easier than Street Fighter transitioning into full fledged 3D.

Does that mean we get Skull-O-Mania in from EX in the game?

...and we get an intro similar to this?

I hope the prologues are just as good...this one seems to be my favorite...probably because of the music.

There going to have the same story. It's just a way to get your money.

First things first, do you seriously play fighting games for the story? Capcom fighters especially? Odds are it'll probably be the same story, just two different perspectives ala NvC will be about Jin and CvN will be about Ryu.

Besides you're still implying that you'd be paying for the same game twice, did you even read the post? If they do decide to do two different games they will be both two completely different games. You're not buying Capcom vs Namco two times in a row, you're buying Capcom vs Namco and Namco vs Capcom. If you think buying both is buying the same game you might as well say people that bought both Tekken 6 and SSFIV wasted their money buying the same game twice. One will play similar to Tekken and the other will play similar to Tatsunoko vs Capcom or Street Fighter IV. And in case you haven't noticed the two play nothing alike. Sure they will have the same cast of characters but they will play very differently from game to game. But you seem to think otherwise.

And they aren't forcing you to buy anything, don't like Tekken? Don't get NvC. Don't like Street Fighter IV? Don't get CvN

I really do hope both games have different sides of the story. That would give people better reasons to buy both. Also I realized there going to play differently I just don't like when companies come up with "clever" ways to make us buy stuff and if they only decided to make one game from the start, without ever mentioning the two different engines idea, would anyone really be asking themselves "Wow this plays just like SF4 but I wonder what it would of played like if it had a different engine?"

And besides Marvel vs. Capcom will be way better anyway so just buy that.:loltongue:

Again, did you even read my post? No one is making you or anyone buy stuff. Don't like how there will be two games? Don't buy it and don't whine about it. This isn't some ploy for both companies to make more money. It's a strategy to appease both fanbases and for both companies to make money period, so there isn't a repeat of Capcom vs SNK 2 with Capcom obtaining almost all of the profit.

And besides Marvel vs. Capcom will be way better anyway so just buy that.:loltongue:

Are you seriously implying Capcom fans won't play both?
It's still too early to tell if MvC3 will be better or not, it might end up a repeat of how stupidly broken MvC2 was.
