Transformers: BEAST HUNTERS

I can see Beast Hunters being another spin-off of Prime ala Rescue Bots. Albeit with a tone closer to Prime than Rescue Bots is, of course.

I mean yeah, we've never had three Transformers shows on at the same time before but then again, we've never had Hasbro own their own their network before either.

Beast Wars is my favorite Transformers cartoon, I pray this actually happens

I can see them doing that and taking the show off planet. Save costs on trying to make up reasons to stay away from populated areas on Earth and up the creativity of what they can animate.

Well Prime is technically gonna be finished by their 3rd season (which is only 16 episodes form what I'm understanding)..........so I doubt all 3 shows will be on at the same time.

Due to the timing of this report as well as the timing of the announcement of the final season of Prime, it is quite obvious Beast Hunters (aka Beast Wars Prime as I'm calling) will be replacing Prime

I wonder if they will keep Beast Machines in continuity? For those who haven't seen the show, at the end of the series Cybertron becomes organic...and Cheetor is the baddest motherfucker in the TF Universe

I would prefer a reboot. Since Beast Wars takes place in the original G1 continuity it would just make things unnecessarily complicated to adapt to a new show. Maybe they can do a "different dimension" thing, so we can still get some awesome cameos and things can stay simple

The characters in beast machine were really fun with some characters coming full circle while others took major psycholgical hits from their circumstances. The story though...man that story....but all and all this will probably be just what J says it will be: Beast Wars Prime. I am actually very o.k. with that.

Beast Wars and Beast Machines were an extention of the G1 continuity. All indications are that this would be a part of the alligned continuity along with the "<insert word> for Cybertron" series of games, Prime and Rescue Bots cartoons.

I always thought Optimus Primal was the most interesting good leader anyway, so I hope they resurrect him if they do this. The other option is that they bring beast transformers into the Prime cartoon. in which case most of them would be small enough that they'd effectively be mini-cons. Maybe they've been inspired by the Japanese version of Prime, which added extra mini-episodes depicting the weapons of the Prime characters secretly also being Transformers.

Hasbro Reveals TRANSFORMERS PRIME BEAST HUNTERS at New York Comic Con

The Hunt Begins in 2013 as OPTIMUS PRIME and the AUTOBOTS Face an Unprecedented New Foe in the TRANSFORMERS PRIME Animated Series and Beyond New York Comic Con 2012

In a packed room filled with TRANSFORMERS fans, Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) officially unveiled details about TRANSFORMERS PRIME BEAST HUNTERS during a special panel at New York Comic Con on Thursday. BEAST HUNTERS will be the touchstone for TRANSFORMERS brand entertainment in 2013 driven by the award winning TRANSFORMERS PRIME animated series which is produced by Hasbro Studios, airs on The HUB television network in the U.S. (Fridays at 7 p.m. ET) and is seen by kids and fans in over 170 countries around the world.

“BEAST HUNTERS is an exciting new direction for TRANSFORMERS brand entertainment and the introduction of the PREDACON faction is a pivotal moment for OPTIMUS PRIME and the heroic AUTOBOTS, impacting the world of TRANSFORMERS which will never be the sameâ€

The beasts, comprised of a new TRANSFORMERS faction called the PREDACONS, are led by one of the most imposing and powerful characters in the TRANSFORMERS world – PREDAKING. At New York Comic Con, in addition to giving fans a sneak peek at PREDAKING in the animated series, Hasbro discussed how BEAST HUNTERS will be the driving force behind its product line including toys as well as an extensive licensing program.

“In recent years, TRANSFORMERS fans have seen the AUTOBOTS battle the DECEPTICONS,†said Aaron Archer, Vice President of TRANSFORMERS Brand Creative and Design. “The PREDACON faction, made up of menacing beasts that convert in ways mankind has never seen, have now joined the DECEPTICONS to take down the AUTOBOTS. We’re looking forward to exploring this new dynamic in the animation, action figures, KRE-O building sets, publishing and more.â€

As a special early look for fans, Hasbro also unveiled select new toys from the BEAST HUNTERS line that will launch in the spring of 2013 including new KRE-O TRANSFORMERS building sets and TRANSFORMERS PRIME action figures. Both toy lines will be driven by the BEAST HUNTERS theme bringing the AUTOBOTS, DECEPTICONS – and now the PREDACONS – to life in toy form and will be reflective of the compelling and visually stunning aesthetic of the TRANSFORMERS PRIME animated series.

“BEAST HUNTERS is an exciting new direction for TRANSFORMERS brand entertainment and the introduction of the PREDACON faction is a pivotal moment for OPTIMUS PRIME and the heroic AUTOBOTS, impacting the world of TRANSFORMERS which will never be the same,†said Jay Duke, Global TRANSFORMERS Brand Vice President at Hasbro. “Kids and fans will be amazed by how Hasbro will bring this story and the ‘beasts’ to life across the brand’s major entertainment platforms in 2013.â€
