Shockwave: "Your acquisition of my figure is highly...logical."

About fucking time I found this guy.

FINALLY one of my favorite seekers joins my Decepticon ranks!

SUNSTORM!

He's the KO CHMS version and actually I prefer this color scheme (the use of white) over the recently released Botcon exclusive color scheme (black where the white is). With the use of white, the CHMS Sunstorm also ends up being more accurate to the comic.

And for just a comparison with another seeker...Sunstorm with Thundercracker.

My other favorite seeker & oddly enough, the only other seeker that I currently have that's not packed away in storage.

yesterday my Diamond Select Iron Man mark 42 came in the mail unfortunately it was really stiff in all of the joints except the ball socket leg joints also the paint job isn't up to snuff

Personally, I prefer the stiff joints, especially the ratcheted ones. I am, however, very disappointed in the crappy ball swivel hip joints, which are just way too loose for a figure of this size. As for the paint... well, you're really only dealing with the silver parts, the figure's cast in the dark semi-metallic grey. I can see a few spots on mine where there's a salt grain-sized spot missing here & there, but I'm not really seeing anything major.

The one thing I do really dislike about this figure is his shoulder-mounted cannon. It pops off way too easily at both ends. Hasbro's version of this armor (Iron Patriot) did the cannon better & you can plug that one onto either shoulder.

On the other hand, this figure beats out the Hasbro version of Iron Patriot with it's added ankle rockers and wrists that can actually be put into firing position. And I think the Marvel Select size works better alongside the Hasbro Marvel Legends, especially when you have the Rhodey head attached. Both figures are still a little too slim overall to give the impression of a man in a suit of armor, but the exposed Don Cheadle face on this figure helps make his head appear smaller, so that's a little more convincing.
