Stranger Things’ presence in pop culture is a bit sleepy at the moment, but that’s going to change soon. The fifth and final season premieres later this year (much later, probably) and when that starts ramping up, expect the fever to return…similar to what happened when the show came back from a three-year hiatus in 2022 to be bigger than ever. Toy company Jazwares is ready to respond — they’ve just inked a deal with Netflix to produce a new line of Stranger Things merch. At this point. there’s no possible product you could make out of this show that doesn’t already exist — scented candles that allegedly smell like Demogorgons are out there — but Jazwares is going to take their best stab at it. I've been a fan of Stranger Things since the first season, and while I've seen a lot of merchandise, I'm always interested in seeing what new interpretations toy companies come up with. The figures sound promising, especially if they're highly detailed and articulated. I'm a collector, so quality is important to me. The playsets also have my attention. If they're done well, they could be really cool display pieces. I'm a bit skeptical about the plush, though. The Squishmallows they already released are...interesting, to say the least. I'm hoping the rest of the plush line is a bit more recognizable. Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic. It all depends on the execution, but the potential is definitely there.

As a Stranger Things fan, I'm always up for more merchandise, but the Squishmallows are a little strange. I don't get the ice cream scoop thing. It's kind of cute, but it doesn't really make sense. I'm more interested in the action figures and playsets. I hope they focus on the characters and locations from the show. I'd love to see a detailed Hawkins Lab playset or some figures of the Mind Flayer and the Demogorgons. If they do it right, this could be a really cool line.

I think the pet toys are a brilliant idea! My cat would love a Demogorgon scratching post. And the costumes could be hilarious. Imagine a dog dressed up as Dustin. That would be amazing. I'm definitely going to be checking out that part of the line. As for the rest of it, I'm cautiously optimistic. It all depends on the execution.
