Yes! Finally, a guilty pleasure at the theatre (albiet french theatres)

(for the record...yes, it's superficial, no the girls arent role models in the slightest except Sam, yes it's got all the depth of a plank of wood..but it's fun and often gets away with nifty things when noone's looking)

It was never a big success over in the States, but you can't escape it in Europe, it's (un)fortunatly a bit of a giant over here.

They adapted the urban comic Martin Mystery, but radicaly altered it into a Totally Spies-esque comedy High School series (and made the main character's lover his step-sister!) , but it wasnt met with much success, neither was Galaxy Force. Totally Spies is really their sole success

the Totally Spies/Martin Mystery crossover was pretty sweet even if it should have been a two parter and have Diana, Java and Billy involved. I wish Alex and Martin could have been an actual couple for more than 15 seconds too -.-

They could have made a Team Galaxy crossover too! It wouldn't have been the first time they did a time travel story!

Totally Spies IS over.

Now they got a new serie called Spiez in the same universe (still got Jerry!) but instead follows four siblings (3 boys 1 girl) from age 12 to 14 or 15 who work for WHOOP. I saw that in a French magazine at work.

I don't think they ever followed through on that episode where Jerry asigned Britney to work with the girls... I wish they did.

They're going the Powerpuff Girl way with this movie...at least we never SAW their origin story --. The animation is pretty sweet looking ^^ Hopefully it'll be better than the TV movies who are really just three episodes slapped together and have the same pacing. I also hope they keep to continuity and don't have the X-Powder Com with its costume changing ability. That didn't appear until the third season after all.

Notice how just about every episode explored some kind of odd fetish, one episode it was gigantism, the next it was inflation, etc.

What struck me the most was how ANYONE could turn into a mad scientist and devise some sort of strange thematically fitting contraption.

Mimes with beams that take away voices, sushi check with ray that turn sushi into giant monster, mountain ranger and yeti DNA formula, nail artists and mind controlling nails, cheerleader coach and robot cheerleaders AND brainwashing subliminal DVDs...

Seems like you just need a theme and you're good to go!
