Toku loving parents...

Where did everyone go??

Before I leave, I'd just like to say toku fans deserve love too. More girls should learn to accept it

*Leaves topic to find out where everyone else went*

I'd raise my kids to be open-minded and watch whatever they enjoy without worrying what other people like and such. At 20 years, I'm still watching brightly colored Japanese stuntmen in spandex beat each other up and masked Mexican wrestlers throw each other around, but y'know, I'm cool with it. I'll continue to watch stuff I like until it's no longer cool to me anymore. Not until it's not cool to somebody else.

As for the kids, if I had any I wouldn't shove tokusatsu, lucha libre and kung fu movies down their throats but I would experiment to see if they respond well to it and such. Besides, I'm willing to bet a LOT of our friends that claim to hate Power Rangers really have fond memories and would watch it again if they didn't feel like they were being scrutinized. It's just fun. Toku, wrestling, kaiju, parkour, iced tea, kung fu, punk rock, it's all just for fun. When I get too old to have fun, then I'll be worried.

Speaking of parents my mom thinks it's funny I watch that stuff and says she swares I was born in the worng country.I guess watching anime for over a decade along with other Asian stuff, and practically living off Asian food could do that.

BTW,My grandma (R.I.P) used to watch DBZ fansubs, and other fansubs I have with me and actually liked it.LOL.

Whoa whoa whoa...just a minute..DK You're a female???!? I woulda sworn ( apparently mistakenly) that you were a guy!

Anyways...I would expose my kids to a variety, but for my personal reasons, I'd filter when they get to see what. For the record, I don't think following Tokusatsu - or whatever XYZ genre that society mandates acceptable would really affect how I'd raise my future kids (yes, I plan on having them).

I wouldn't be like the soccer moms, but I won't let them see everything in the world. Raise them to be open-minded, but able to make intelligent and informed decisions.

Then again, I'd like to think I can still "kick it" and be the "cool mom" with my kids ^^

Apparently (she) pulled a Mihara and betted on an internet sex change for a while.

Nope, it actually came out in a thread about secrets that Mega Battle Green posted before he was once again banned. DK is a female.

I think this site has the most females out of most of the sites I've visited(unless RangerBoard and RangerProps have more females than I realize)

Anyways, I agree about what exactly to show kids. Unless something else comes out like it between now and whenever I have kids, I'd probably start them out w/ something like Magiranger, just for the fact that I think that it would probably still be more enjoyable to them if they can't read subtitles. They're sure as hell not seeing Garo
