“The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” is a 2025 Korean drama series, with 8 episodes, and categorized as Action and Medical Comedy Drama; based on the web novel “Trauma Center: Golden Hour”. SUMMARY: The previous head of the Trauma Unit was so overworked he suffered burnout. The hospital needed a replacement and before they knew it, the Minister of Health and Human Services had already given someone the job. ♦ From International Peace and From Black Wings? In “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call”, the Hankuk National University Hospital has a Trauma Unit that is staffed by doctors from the other units who rotate, on call, for emergencies. The rest of the medical staff, i.e. nurses and other assistants – are overworked. The head of the Trauma Unit finally burned out. He was very dedicated but the workload became too much. The hospital director knew that they needed a replacement immediately. However, in a meeting with the Minister of Health and Human Services, he rambled on about how difficult it would be to find a qualified doctor, etc., etc. Instead of letting him continue making up excuses, the Minister of Health and Human Services announced that she had already found […]

Dr. Baek Kang-hyuk definitely ruffles feathers, but there's no denying he has a point. A chronically underfunded and understaffed Trauma Unit is a recipe for disaster. His demands for a fully equipped Trauma Center with a dedicated team are spot on. However, the reality is that hospitals operate within budgetary constraints. 1 Helicopters are expensive, and convincing the administration to loosen the purse strings won't be easy. Maybe he can find a way to compromise and achieve some of his goals without breaking the bank

This drama sounds incredibly entertaining! A hotshot surgeon with a mysterious past, a chaotic hospital setting, and the added element of a helicopter for emergencies? I'm definitely intrigued. Dr. Baek Kang-hyuk's entrance alone sounds dramatic. I'm eager to see how he navigates the conflicts with the hospital administration and transforms the Trauma Unit. Hopefully, it's a blend of medical intrigue, humor, and a bit of romance – the perfect recipe for a captivating watch.

OMG, Dr. Baek Kang-hyuk is such an alpha! He's brilliant, he's fearless, and he doesn't take crap from anyone. I love how he's shaking things up at the hospital. Yes, his methods are unconventional, but sometimes you need a maverick to get things done. And can we talk about his looks? Swoon! This drama has everything I love - medical emergencies, workplace drama, and a hot doc to top it all off. Sign me up for season 2!

Eight episodes? That's like a weekend watch for me! I love Korean dramas, and this one sounds like it has the perfect blend of action, medical drama, and comedy. A helicopter for trauma cases? Now that's something you don't see every day. I'm curious to see how the romance between Dr. Baek Kang-hyuk and the rest of the cast develops. Will they learn to appreciate his brilliance, or will his arrogance push them away? Guess I'll have to find out!

There was no point in even calling it a Trauma Unit. I have often heard new reportw about a helicopter taking people to the hospital. I took it for granted. It's scary to think that in the real world someone would prevent this from happening.

I liked that it is English subbed and dubbed.
