I don't think that's what he was thinking. He said "Ma, ii ka", which more than likely meant that he didn't want to worry about it.

Kamen Rider Wizard's a fun show. A bit slow in terms of plot-pacing, but, fun to watch to me overall. c:

1. Akibaranger's not as great as people claim it is, not even saying it's overrated but people clearly like it due to the more adult themes in it IMO and to me Sentai isn't about getting more adult.
2. Overall Metal Heroes suits are very lame looking even for the time period they were made
3. Den-O is a pretty fun show
4. Other than Bandora, Zyuranger's a pretty forgettable show (not bad but nothing stands out)
5. Kuuga's theme is best out of all Kamen Rider themes.

A lot of people who aren't keen on Wizard's suit design often say that in part it's because it just doesn't look like a Kamen Rider to them. I can't quite agree with that. No, he doesn't have the signature bug eyes, but he has something else. Check out a picture of Wizard. Then look at a picture of V3. Compare their chest designs. Wizard's jeweled chest design, at least in his Flame and Land Styles, is essentially an updated version of V3's "chestpads". Even if he doesn't have a traditional helmet, he still has a connection to one of the oft-overlooked parts of the Showa-era Riders' designs. To me, that's pretty cool.

1.) I find both W and OOO to be ridiculously overrated. W less so since it had three charismatic leads and some sexy Rider designs, but I found a majority of OOO to be unbearable. I think someone in this thread mentioned how they couldn't view Dr. Maki as a viable threat because of that fucking baby doll, and I 100% agree.
2.) Kamen Rider Den-O is one of my favorite KR seasons. It has heart and extremely likable characters as well as one of the most fantastically unique concepts KR has ever dreamed up. I don't condone how Toei/Bandai milked it to death, but the TV show itself is solid.
3.) Kyoryuger is absolutely nothing more but a soulless, shallow cash-grab.
4.) I'm currently watching Ultraseven and I honestly believe the original Ultraman is better. Ultraseven has consistency issues (one episode ends with narration saying [and I'm paraphrasing] "Aliens invade because we just don't trust each other." Two or three episodes later: "Always be sure to report anything that may be suspicious because who knows who we can trust") and characters that don't seem very well fleshed out. Some episodes are really insightful and interesting, but there are several others that are just plain dull and forgettable.

A few more that have surfaced since the original thread was posted:
- There's nothing wrong with the characters of Shunpei, Beast, or Gremlin. Beast's only problem is that Tsuyoshi Kida clearly hates having to write for him thus deliberately makes him look powerless and doesn't give him anything to do.
- There is also nothing wrong with KyoryuRed. He doesn't need "flaws" or "weaknesses" tacked on to make him a good character. Nor does Luckyuro need to become menacing.
- Nadeshiko and Inga Blink are horrible, flat characters with no useful purpose (being Gentaro's girlfriend doesn't count.) Kamen Rider Aqua is worse than both put together.
- It is ridiculous to resent Gremlin for replacing Phoenix. I liked Phoenix a lot but it doesn't look like he was ever intended to be more than what we actually got from him.
- I've said this one before but now that talk of the 2014 Sentai being registered is afoot, I'll repeat it: An insect-themed Sentai would be a horrible idea.
- Kyoryuger proves that Sentai is far better when it doesn't try to do romance plots. Also, Rin is not "Souji's girlfriend" - he wasn't happy at the idea of going on a date with her.
- On a similar note, Airi and Sakurai/Yuuto's romance in Den-O was horrible. It was way too saccharine.
- There's a difference between wishing a show were more to your tastes (which is normal and reasonable) vs insisting it "should" have been better (arrogant at worst, entitled at best)
- There is NO "wrong" or "right" way to do an anniversary series.
- All Sentai should always have at least two female Rangers on a team of five. It's not about "creative choices" or whether they're "needed". If stories call for people, they call for women, it's that simple.
- Go-Busters is not better than other shows just because it was "different" or "serious" or because it killed off a Ranger. I like it, but for other reasons.
- In fact, I don't think Sentai should kill off Rangers at all. There, I said it.
- Magiranger is not a "woman-friendly" Sentai
- All talk about Sentai needing to "evolve" and "remain relevant" is nonsense. Its primary audience is toddlers who watch for a year or two at most.
- Date is a far better character and better Birth than Gotou. Yes, Gotou evolved as a character but ultimately, his arrogant and baseless demand to be a Rider in the early episodes paid off.
- The "comically old" stereotype for Blue Rangers is already getting worn out - three out of four in a row. I want to see more older Rangers, but it should be portrayed as a normal thing, not as a stock type for one suit colour. Hyde was especially egregious, he was supposed to be 24 years old yet they carried on as if he were at least 44

Ryuuji wasnt really treated as comically old. Although really the old=bad humor trope in anime is annoying on a personal note. I can enjoy young people's idea of fun alright. If they cant enjoy mine, thats their problem.
Also Inga Blink is a yama onna. she cannot possibly be flat :laugh:
