The return of classic Nickelodeon?

^It's true...TUFF Puppy is one of those shows I knew would suck off the bat. Why does Butch Hartmen keep trying?

Because Fairly Oddparents and Danny Phantom were pretty successful? And they probably thought having Jerry Trainer doing the MC's voice would bring in iCarly viewers.

They weren't bad cartoons, either. Danny Phantom had some interesting ideas about updating the 60s Marvel formula and Fairly Odd Parents can still get a laugh out of me.

TUFF Puppy is... like... it's Darkwing Duck, but less good and certainly much less funny. Why do you green-light this? A show like TUFF Puppy could've succeeded in the mid-90s, maybe, but I can't imagine a modern kid sitting through it when there's so much else to choose from.

Did it?

Plus I don't remember Danny Phantom's run being that long. I actually liked DPh's story, but don't think it's full potential could be brought out with that type of animation and campyness.

Of course maybe many people love that, but to me I can see it being better as another genre of animation and interpretation.

It was about 3 seasons and you can watch them all on netflix. Danny Phantom was pretty watchable and ended rather well.

I remember in an interview that Fred Seibert did about how when he was starting up the World Premiere Toons project Butch Hartman was the only guy willing to give a proposal. And Seibert said it was the worst proposal he had heard, just horrible. He came back though and this one was the second worst, then he came back a third time and that was the third worst. He kept coming back and each time he got better, until finally when Seibert formed Frederator Studios one his proposals was finally picked up which result in the Fairly OddParents.

I think that is a problem that Hartman is having right now, he needs someone to tell when an idea sucks or needs to be reworked. His success is a problem, no one is telling him no anymore.

Wow, that's a great story.

Though, I guees now the only thing that can tell him no is ratings and an eventual cancelation.
