The Inoue Cliche Checklist!

Uh, last I checked, Nago is so obviously power hungry. He want to be IXA as a step to playing god and later global domination. When he first gets IXA, he spends so much time talking about how he would change the organization to fit his image, and when he is told he wont get Rising IXA because he's a douche, he goes and lies about growing as a person so he can get the power up. How is this not an Inoue cliche

..... That doesn't even make sense.

When he first gets IXA, he spends so much time talking about how he would change the organization to fit his image

And how does that make him anything more than a flawed idealist? Show where he said he wanted to change Blue Sky. He said he wanted to reform the world, if I recall ep. 20 correctly. He can get in line when in comes to that. Wanting a better world isn't automatically akin to wanting to rule it.

and when he is told he wont get Rising IXA because he's a douche, he goes and lies about growing as a person so he can get the power up.

What the hell are you talking about? Where does it show him to be faking anything? Are you sure you're not just seeing what you want to see?

It really seems that many people in this fandom don't know what constitutes being a "jerk, ass, etc". Apparently anyone who doesn't act like the typical nice person is an ass. Tendou, Yuuto, Keisuke, are all unfairly being called jerks and bullies simply because they "don't act nice". Why don't you try actually looking into the characters' backstories and ways of thought before jumping the gun to name them the new Kusaka.

Um...chill?

We're not talking about Tendou or Yuuto here, nor am I the average fan

IMO Tendou's the "badass" that the show tries to make him out to be and Yuuto's just the badboy with his own agenda. Case closed. Moving on.

Who knows, maybe Inoue's starting to catch himself and the prick-I mean, Keisuke will change out of it. The Rider Backfire is looking to be broken starting next episode too so that's another notch on his belt as long as they don't pull the Gatchaman Fighter gimmick of "EVERYTIME YURI USES THE IXA BELT, SHE'S CLOSER TO DEATH!!!"

(Yes I know there's that whole "Damage to the Body" thing with 86 IXA, I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if Inoue said it was sped up for girls )

Then again, he could just be on to me and is altering the work just to call me out. Now that would be awesome

Now, arguments aside, keep the cliches coming!

1. In order to keep the identity of a hero hidden, one person always gets knocked out cold...

2. Classical music. Inoue has an episode in both Kuuga and Kabuto that features Chopin music, and Chopin's music is feature heavily as the BGM for the OST.

3. I'm pretty sure he also plays a large role in casting seeing how all the returning actors have worked in a series that he was a main writer. Such as Jiro, Mio, Bishop and Taiga,

4. Amnesia

5. Tragic Love Story, seeing how romantic relationship in riders are pretty half-ass, Inoue probably does the most of this.

That's all I can think of right now

Hard to do with idiots running around >.>

Not yet. I referrenced Tendou and Yuuto because they too are often labeled as jerks. Tendou is a very clever, learned man that follows the philosophies of his grandmother and himself, on a self-given mission to protect his only surviving family and save the world from ZECT/Natives and the Worms. In a way, Tenodu acts like the Buddhist who has attained Arahantship when interacting with other characters. Yuuto is a boy who has given up his present and future life for the sake of his would-be future family and the timeline. Given the circumstances of the Zeronos system, he tries to avoid attachment to others, thus his behavior toward the rest of the cast. These qualities do not make either character a mean SOB, to clarifly for everyone else. It added some dimension of interest to them and made me like them as a result.

-Orphenocs and Fangire both have a king

-The animal theme seems to have carried over from Faiz (Spider Orphenoc/Spider Fangire, Horse Orphenoc/Horse Fangire, etc.)

The snail monster is always the businessman with a good intention that happens to be deemed as a traitor and gets killed. Oh yeah, they have exactly the same designs too except the one in Faiz looks like an unpainted copy. They also lasts for 2 episodes or so.

Still waiting for Mio's "Oh my god, you're an Orphenoc" expression for the main character guy.

Hmm...

Nago started as a Kusaka, but now has since evolved into a...Hajime.

So far...Taiga is currently a Mutsuki.

Wataru is...hmm...started as a Ryotaro, but he might end up being either a Yuji or Kenzaki in the end.

Megumi and Yuri are...either a Rina done right or a Femme, L'arc, and Shuki, but not dead...okay Yuri's dead.

I don't agree with Tanuki's other points, but to be fair, when he gets the Rising IXA device he does a pretty nasty smirk. I was watching with a friend and we both "OH SNAP"-d at it (and we LIKE Nago, mainly for entertainment value), so I'm pretty positive he was faking, yes.
