What I need from you HJU is a serious list of every Toshiki Inoue writing cliche you can think of that I can use as a checklist as I'm watching.

The term that comes to mind here is "second verse, same as the first", meaning that the logic may be different but the traits are still there. The big one for me is Nago's zero tolerance Fangire vendetta that's all too reminiscent of Kusaka's towards the Orphenochs. I'll admit that he's a step up from Kyosuke from Hibiki but even then, that's only because

Kusaka was a madman who craved power and Mari due to miserable experiences in his childhood, hence his constant disruptions of everyone's lives. Keisuke dishes out "blind justice" without thought to the circumstances of each situation. That's not being a jerk. That's just being unwise.
