"The Flash" running on the CW Talkback thread

Stupid reset button. That is all.

[Dr Kain]

You have never read a Flash comic before, have you?

[kuroihikari]

Doesn't matter whether I've read one or not, it's still a reset button.

PS. I've seen Flashpoint Paradox.

[Galaxian]

It keeps Cisco alive, so I approve of it.

[Dr Kain]

Yeah, but it is done intelligently.

Flashpoint Paradox is good, but completely butchers the comic's universe.

[kuroihikari]

You mean Flash's power is intelligently done, or the episode is intelligently done? Either way, I disagree. Flash's power is just simply another case of magic in the form of pseudoscience, just like any sci-fi show out there, so nothing special. While the show just opened up a can of drama, just to throw practically all of it away so we can relive it all another time. Basically, a spoiler episode.

Flashpoint did it better, because it explored and exposed time travel as the villain.

[Dr Kain]

They just introduced the ability to time travel. Give it time to be explored.

[kuroihikari]

It'll surely be explored, I have hope. Doesn't make the last episode any less disappointing.

Well if nothing else I heard people theorize that this is how Cisco gets his powers and become Vibe.

[Galaxian]

A fan theory that I've seen been thrown around is that, when they go full Flashpoint Paradox, the alternate (and temporary) world that the Flash is going to create will be one where Oliver says yes to Ra's offer.
