"The Flash" running on the CW Talkback thread

This week's episode was good. I guess the main things I got out of it is that Earth 2's Harrison Wells is a prick (but he gets to the point), he has a daughter, Cisco is revealed to be a meathuman and given a name, and we get to know more about Earth-2 counterpart's coming to kill their Earth-1 versions. Makes me wonder if Zoom is Barry Allen from Earth-2 now.

Man this week's episode sure got serious. Zoom was straight up serious and scary looking. Love it. I find Linda Park's actress to be cute so seeing her get all geeky firing shots out of her hands was funny. So Harrison Wells' daughter in Earth 2 is Jesse Quick. That was neat to know. And yeah, Barry not feeling his legs at the end was pretty crazy.

I like this version of Harrison Wells, but there are a few things that are odd to me.

1. I thought Tom Cavanagh came back too early. I wanted to see the team take care of things on their own for awhile, see how they fair. It kind of negates the fact that he was just recently destroyed as well; regardless of him being a different version the face alone is enough to justify this feeling for me. That being said, that is actually super minor. Everything is still cool as cucumbers.

2. Sometimes I cant tell, if Tom Cavanagh is acting like an Eobard thawne minus the patience, or if he is acting like Harrison Wells really is. A lot of things come into play here, so I won't sweat this too much.

3.Now this is the first time the show has done something I just cannot get passed. Cisco's handling of his powers. He of all people should be excited, but he isn't? At all. That is a majooor drag. At least if he isn't excited, then I would hope others around him would be, but nope. Kate even gave a speech an episode prior about how if you had a chance to be a super hero wouldn't you take it?

Him keeping it a secret for so long as well, to the point where someone had to snitch on him! It's not like he has an std. He had something that was completely relatable to the people around him, as well as people who would help him, but for w/e reason he felt to keep it a secret..

Him getting his nickname felt pretty anti-climactic too :/ Idk, anybody feel the same way? Not at all?

It just gave me vibes (HA!) of how Arrow handled Arsenal once he became a hero. Hope Cisco doesn't get the shut out.

I just feel like season 2 is much slower than season 1 in general. We've had at least two episodes of self-pitying Barry already.

This week's crossover episode was pretty cool. At first, I thought I was watching an Arrow episode as they captured the vibe of that show very well. Loved how the teams interacted with each other. Because we last saw a live action Hawkman on Smallville, I am going to compare this version to him. At least the special effects are much better here than it was last decade. So many characters were jam packed in here though with the Jay Garrick/Harrison Wells/Dr. Snow subplot.

Lol at the conversation where Cisco comes up with the idea of the magic wand. And then Harrison's line about every world has a godfather. That was the most memorable scene for me in the episode. There were a ton of other cool moments as well from Joe finding out he has a son and good ol' Trickster is back. Always enjoy seeing Mark Hamill as a villain. Right on time before the new Star Wars film. The ending was pretty interesting though with Zoom and Wells talking about this "deal."

Amazing episode this week. Probably of the series or top 3 candidate. I had so much fun watching Earth-2 and how different it was. Reminded me of Smallville's Earth-2 episode except this one had so many cameos and easter eggs to absorb in. Barry getting to talk to his Mother on the phone was a touching scene. Barry's relationship with Joe is the direct opposite in this world and that was understandable. But yeah, I will mostly remember Killer Frost and Deathstorm. They were cool and it was awesome to see Kaitlin's villainous side. Was wondering about Cisco's doppelganger until he made his appearance. That "Are you Cloud City Vadering me right now?" line was hilarious. The cliffhanger got me wanting more. Darn, can't wait for next week already.

On a side note, I would love if the multiverse concept includes all the former DC tv-shows because if it does, I will love this show even more.
