The Amazing Spider-Man - Talkback

They'll go into hiding and Spiderman will join up with the Avengers somehow.

Also, couldn't Disney just BUY the film rights and do the rest of the "trilogy" or work it out so they could have Spiderman with the Avengers? They did it with the Hulk so why not Spidey?

Apparently the Oscorp building almost made it into the Avengers Skyline. There was some overlap and well, by the time the design was finished the Avengers' Manhattan was in too deep with finalization. It's minor, but it's a stepping stone.

Hey, that means I'm quoted now in two separate users' signatures! I'm relevant!

Well, the way they're slowly building it up, I think Green Goblin'll be the third film &, if the series continues beyond that, they might use Venom/ Carnage.

And if they're using the genetic enhancement scenario continuously, the next villain may by Vulture or another similar character, although I'd prefer if they switched it up and used a differant kind of villain for the sequel- which, if they choose not to use villains from the Raimi films, that leaves Scorpion &/ or Mysterio.

I just got back from watching the movie and I actually really enjoyed it. Like everyone, I was wondering if a rushed project like this could work. But, apparently it did. Some points were a little fast paced, but I liked it. They made Peter Parker and Spider-man feel more like their characters this time around. And the action as actually pretty good. Not as high spectacle as the Raimi films, but I think they worked better for it.

And I agree, it could be and I'm hoping the guy at the end is Mysterio. I'm fuckin tired of the Green Goblin. There is a wealth (if i remember correctly) of bad guys in the Spidey universe. Pick one, any one.

The symbiote suit story I find pretty interesting, but I realized the only reason I liked venom and carnage was 'cause...they looked cool. I don't know, I get eddie brock's story and everything (I think) but I never got reeled into the point I wanted to understand more.

I'd be okay with seeing the Goblin again, but Spidey's got so much more villains in his gallery we can see. I'm still up for seeing Mysterio.

If they could find someone who is scarier than William Dafoe then they should. Dafoe is scary whether he is Norman Osborne or not. But I wouldn't want them to rehash Raimi villains, and I'm on board with the idea of using someone like Mysterio. I'm really curious as to how they will implement him into the Parker Parent storyline and whatnot.

Too bad Raimi took Goblin, Sandman, Venom and Doc Ock. Doc Ock is the only one whom I wouldn't want remade though. I really liked Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus. (And Spiderman 2 in general)
