Just got back from the theater.

Let me just say, it wasn't anything mind-blowing or anything brilliant, but it was enjoyable and watchable for the very least. The action was nice, but McG had to pull a Michael Bay on the explosions, but while I like things blowing up, I just think he went to far with it. Christian Bale gave an okay performance as John Conner, while I admire the guy and being one of my favorite actors (even if he is an ass), I just don't think he's cut out for this kind of franchise. He should just stick with Batman, if he needs a high profile franchise to keep the audience entertained and for his brilliant acting. But I was impressed with Sam Worthington and I believe this is the first film I seen him in. His acting was top-notch and I think he's a good up & coming actor, I really see a good future for him. All and all, I really think this is the most decent flick that McG has crafted and there is no doubt, that this is most DEFINITELY better than T3 on all levels. Though, I hope McG isnt involve in future sequels, since there's no doubt any compatibility I see for him on this kind of franchise. He was just lucky not to make this a pile of suck ass filming and make this an average flick for the average moviegoer. So would I recommend this to see? Well, if your having a boring day and you need something to crack on for your viewing pleasure, then I would definitely see it. Honestly in my opinion, I think Star Trek wins hands down as the best movie and summer blockbuster for this month, no doubt indeed.

i have a feeling that T5 will take place during 2021-2023.

i cannot wait for T5 to have Roland Kickinger play a bigger role, imagine Batman, Marcus, and the Good Governator PWNing Evil Governators at the same time...:buttrock:

now can they also introduce Robert Patrick for a T-1000 origin and get a new more badass Kyle Reese into the mix...if only Michael Biehn was younger

This is how I rank it:
Star Trek > Terminator Salvation > X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I'd rank it similarly, Star Trek > Terminator Salvation > X-Men Origins: Wolverine = Angels & Demons. Only one more blockbuster left to go (Up) and then May is over.

The movie was well...meh, bland and generic especially the characters. The screenplay was alright, a bit less than Star Trek I'd say, but nothing amazing. The final product was extremely predictable and underwhelming. I mean the story isn't stupid or anything but thats all there is to talk about. The characterization was pretty bad, you don't feel for any of the characters all of them feel like sticks that are just there.

The movie was great visually and the action was done on a very average level. Too bad most of it suffered from bad pacing and breaking the mood. First we have Marcus and Kyle driving around blowing **** up and escaping some baddie bots and then it'd cut to some scene where John is just sitting there, contemplating those lights he wants to tear down. And then back to the action, and then back to nothing, you get the idea. It really destroys the mood and the pacing.

The acting was great, especially from Sam Worthington and Anton Yelchin. Worthington is going to star in James Cameron's Avatar later this year (Which is probably guaranteed to sweep the Oscars next year since its a James Cameron flick), so I faith he'll do well in Cameron's strongly characterized role. That movie is going to be the one that jumps him into the A-List.

At the end of the day a very disappointing bland fest with the words "Terminator movie" slapped onto it.

He lends his face for computer imagery to place it on top of Roland Kickinger's face. So technically yes.

I agree. This movie really needed to focus more on their characters. I've heard that early versions of the script had John Connor in a more limited on screen role, and as much as I like Christian Bale, I think it should've stayed that way.

I thought it was pretty incredible and I put it on the level of Star Trek. I heard it got some bad reviews and I totally don't understand.

I put it up there as a contender for my favorite Terminator movie.
