New Terminator Salvation trailer just sold me on this film

hm looks like its how skynet first starts making cyborgs :) Could be very very interesting!!!!!! I still think that giant freakn robot mecha is stupid as hell! terminatorer is terminator not transformers :S

Okay so wait....why is John Connor surprised that there are "human" cyborgs?

Okay see...cause from T1, the "Future John Connor" WOULD have been surprised by the new terminators, but then he sent Kyle back to protect Sarah. So then Sarah knew about them and brought John up to know what they were, and John himself saw them in T2 and T3. So that means that THIS particular "Future John Connor" should KNOW about the new terminators and be prepared.

Hm good point... Maybe he thought he stopped that future though?.. Also the cyborg seems to think its human so maybe that is whathe is surprised about ... Either way I think I'm going to go see this one should have some entertaining action in it if anything! Will be the first T flick I go see in a theater as for some reason never saw 2 or 3 :S

I thought from the look of it they were actually cyborgs, rather than the androids with flesh we're familiar with. Sort of like what TSCC has been building up to with the machines wanting to become human (John Henry)... But yeah I know TSCC isn't 'canon'.

That and that they actually believe they're human rather than just being disguised by artificial flesh.

Okay, so a friend of mine kinda cleared this up for me with his theory, that there are TWO John Connors.

The first John Connor (the original Future John Connor) sent Kyle Reese back in time and effectively 'erased' himself from existance, because Sarah was SUPPOSED to be knocked up by someone else, and instead Kyle got to her first and impregnated her.

Then Sarah, hearing stories about her future son, named her son John and raised him with military training and ****, therefore creating the 'new' and 2nd John Connor.

No...just no. It's a paradox. The war was destined to happen because Kyle was sent to the past and is John's father. Now John would have to grow up and in a war setting send Kyle back to complete the paradox. If there was no war, then there would be no reason for John to send Kyle back...and therefore no John.

So one could say that John being born doomed us all to a nightmare war against Skynet. Thanks John! Now I'm rooting for the Robots like Barney on How I Met Your Mother.

Yeah, I generally try to convince myself that T3 doesn't exist. It had a couple of good scenes, but not enough to make it worth watching more than once.

What's getting me about these cyborgs is that the trailer mentioned that the machies were abducting humans. Which gives me two ideas. 1, that they're pulling a TSCC and modeling the new Terminators after specific humans, or 2, that they're actually turning the human into the cyborg. Hmm.

I pick number 2 Blade Dancer. How the one guy didn't know he was a cyborg
had me thinking that's what happens when they're abducted.

That's what I've never understood. John never sent Reese back, he volunteered to go because, I assume, he knew John was his son? Or at least he would have to for the equation to work out properly. And if that's the case, wouldn't he have already had to go back in the original timeline to impregnate Sarah? I'm sure it's probably one of those nonsensical movie time-travel plots thrown together for dramatic effect, but I've never been able to the connect the thing 100% mentally.

T4 and TF2 are gonna be blowing **** up with robots...fucking awesome...

im still waiting for governator and batman to go at it...
