I thought Shinkenger was okay at best, but Goseiger is making me miss it really badly. So I'll probably re-watch it and appreciate it more.

Just saw epic 37 here are some quick thoughts:
This series is really starting to remind me of Magiranger "In a good way" hopefully it can adapt some of its complexity to its plot.

The ROTD "Robot of the day" was quite cool but a bit of a doofus, meh its Goseiger what more can you expect?
I'm glad they played Goseiultimate's theme with the robo battle, I really want that song bad.
Next Epic: So Goseiknight is going to learn a little more about humanity and is that...Nozumu he's hugging? :thumbs:

Well, it was introduced in the movie. So technically they've already done whatever they needed to do to "earn" it. IIRC Shinkenger did the same thing with its stupid movie-exclusive dino-sword.

Watched 33-35 last night.
33:
- The Matorintis are an interesting villain group. Visually, they're cooler looking than the Warstar, who were leaps and bounds ahead of the Yuumaju.
- Zan no KT is a great starter villain for the new team, if a little annoying. I have to say, the people wanting the Goseiger to keep the same group are insane.
- GoseiKnight's "dilemma" kinda bored me, but it was expected. I think we wrote off the Goseiger writers too quickly--this isn't the best season, but they're definitely dealing with everything they need to be dealing with. Just like the Goseiger dealing with the loss of Tower.
- GoseiUltimate has grown on me. I love it. Giant face aside it's the coolest mecha we've had since...probably something from Boukenger.

- So they can create "version 2s" of their villains? Interesting. The heroes often win through some improbable plan which if it could work would only do so once. To have them face the same villain even stronger forces our heroes (and the writers) to be more creative in their abilities.
- Zan no KT2's "Three Rules of Matorintis" are a nice Asimov joke, but that third rule is so specific it's got to be a plot point.
- It sucks that this is GoseiKnight's focus episode. I'm glad he's finally coming around, but the scene where Alata singlehandedly stops Zan no KT2's weapon without even transforming was AWESOME.
Had it been Alata's episode, you just know he would have singlehandedly curbstomped the guy. Shame he didn't, it would have placed him as a candidate for the Red Senshi hall of fame.
- Anyone else think Metal Alice is a candidate for changing sides?

- They need a leader? Why? Oh well.
- I'm glad they quickly settled why Hyde CAN'T be the leader, but passing the baton around the way they did was a little silly.
- The one attempt at a giant combination is actually forced. I love it. GoseiGreat riding on GoseiUltimate is cool though.
- So, I'm like one of a few people who realized Alata's awesomeness early on, but I'm glad the series itself finally acknowledged it. Although, watching him skip at the end makes it REALLY hard to defend him.
Goseiger's back to being interesting again. Awesome.

I guess i was kind of expecting something along the lines of Go-onger where the episode was primarily focused on Engine Dai shogun appearing but as you said its already been setup from the movie so explaining wouldn't really be necessary but then again why couldn't they use it before? Like in previous episodes.

Why would they start putting really effort into introducing new stuff now? They haven't before in the series. That said, for the record, I'm starting to enjoy Goseiger a lot more since the new villains have been introduced.

Same reason why Shinkenger didn't use the Kyouryuu Origami all the time immediately after the movie was out, I guess. It probably has something to do with the timing of the DVD release or waiting for the movie to be out of first run theaters.
