Tensou Sentai Goseiger - Let's Descend!

I'm still trying to figure out how that made Doukoku any different from most other villains.

I think it's the lack of even having generals who were showing up and fighting the Shinkengers regularly. It felt like Doukoku just wasn't trying very hard. He mostly only fielded MotWs and easily-dispatched grunts. The Shinkengers getting massively overpowered in the show's middle arc contributed to a feeling that the common Gedoushuu posed no real threat.

Dayuu only fights the Shinkengers a handful of times, Juuzou mostly fights Takeru and treats the other Shinkengers as a nuisance, and Shitari never fights anything directly that I can recall. Akumaro is less a general than an arc villain, and the fact that he does so much in his 16 episodes makes Doukoku look even worse.

I think Doukoku would've come off better if he'd had some sort of shitkicker general in his service who went out and tussled with the Shinkengers on a regular basis, schooling them from time to time so the heroing doesn't look too easy. Something like that would make Doukoku look a bit more pro-active, for all that the plot demands he not be able to do much until the very end.

If Buredoran comes back, I hope he comes with a new look as well. Buredoran has a chance to be bette then Juuzo. I refuse to let kickass villains like him fail.

*Spoilers, maybe*

30: Watching Bureidoran die actually shocked the crap out of me. I did not expect that. And he didn't either, so when they bring him back if he's all, "Just according to Keikaku", I'm gonna be pissed. The new Bureidoran (if he comes back) better be a little angrier--a little more willing to attack the Goseiger, since they're responsible for screwing his plan.

That happened in episode 29, actually. I do agree with all of your statements throughout your entire post, though.

Very true, as Doukoku didn't do anything worthwhile up until near the end of the season when he first attacked the Shinkengers in episode 40, & then he had to be tossed back into the Sanzu River just to be re-hydrated. Then he didn't reappear to attack the City, the Shinkengers & Kaoru until the last 2 episodes of that season.

Same here. I think that he happens to be the best villain of Goseiger. I felt that his death in episode 29 was rushed.

This is why i find Buredoran being a no-show in 33 rather worrying, I mean what if he doesn't return? Not that I'll be angry over it but the point being what is it that really connects these groups together? Buredoran!
If it turns out that there really is no connection then what is the point of these three groups? This will mean that the series really has no conclusion and that it will be open ended, Even if Magis does come back the Goseigers will just keep fighting more resurrected army's without any real reason as to why, Which is why i really hope Buredoran or someone else will turn out to be the real head honcho behind this leading to proper closure of this strange fiasco.

Anyway there is still hope and intro credits haven't been added yet so come on Toei please don't let me down!!

I will say the action in ep 32 was excellent. I'm loving GoseiUltimate and it now makes sense why it looks like a giant head and looks like the Tower of Heaven rebuilding is officially delayed.

Yumaajuu is done with. I liked how Makuin was going to become the Earth, very neat. But now it's time for the 3rd group along with the return of Bladerun.

Woots just watched Epic 30-32 in a shot!

30: Nice ep here, I love the moment when GoseiKnight wanted to kill the lady but held back. He's a changed man ^^ Eri shone here btw, lovin' her more!

31: Fantastic lol... I love Makuin's "speech" at the mecha fight abt us humans destroying humans; it's pretty true & freaky tbh!

32: Great follow up; lotsa action & gotta love the duet btween GoseiKnight & Kingguon! Gosei Ultimate looks hot too albeit being an obvious Gundam ripoff!

& 1 more thing: Kento Ono... why so gorgeous :Q____________________

You used to hate her! What happened? That'd be like me suddenly going "I LOVE MAKO"

Yes he does! The show's not over yet but damn I am gonna miss that guy. He has brightened up my screen so much over the last year *sheds pre-emptive tears*

He will return. You already saw the new group with only 2 generals, just like the Yuumajuu and Warstar. He will be back. There is alot more to Bladerun than meets the eye. It's only a matter of time.

Also, the alternate dimension fight scene in 32 was fucking brilliant. Old school brilliant. Even made the Power Up shields look sexy.
