Square can't leave well enough alone

I agree. About SoM they need to go back to it's roots. Other than the remake of The original game on GBA, the rest since SD3 have been pure crap.

I love Chrono Trigger, but I hated Chrono Cross. If they do a third in that series, I hope it's done CT style.

Oh, oh, oh useless knowledge. Chrono Cross was the third game in the Chrono series, there is the very forgotten Radical Dreamers which is the second game in the series which is a pure text based game, that has been fan translated back in like 03 or something. Though there is a reference to it in Chrono Cross, I believe it was something to do with looking into a diary of some sort. Either way, the more ya know!

Yeah I know about that one. Not a fan of it.

As much as I like the DS, I agree some what with you here. DQ9 should have been PS3 or 360 or wii.

I would've preferred a console release too, but I really can't fault Square Enix's reasoning. They saw a large potential audience, and decided to tap into it with one of their flagship titles. Considering the game has sold around 4million copies in Japan alone I'd say it was a good move.

Oh I don't begrudge them for releasing it on the DS. That is as you have said sound financially. I wonder if DQX will make it to like the PS3 or any other console.

First of all, I loved Chrono Cross.
The battle system was interesting (if a little rough, but hey, early PS1) and I liked how most of the characters had interesting stories (I said most, I know that a lot where just useless)
Second, a remake is fine, but SE has a habit of remaking the games multiple times, over and over, with few updates.
Now noone hate FF7.
Crisis Core is the reason I could never hate FF7, if you haven't played it, you suck. It was a prequel, and by god itt was fantastic.
And then their is the Valkyrie Profile they released on the PSP, it was great.
FOr every diamond, they have about 20 stones that are slightly sghiny.
A "bad" game doesn't come around too often with SE, it's just that most of teh games are average.
And besides, what if they do what to make a new game for a frnachise.
That franchise is old, so they re-release/remake an older game to gauge interest, and then start making a new game.
I notice they do that.
