I've been thinking a lot about shorter games lately and how they can create such a powerful experience in a condensed time frame. Some of my favorites, like *Journey* or *What Remains of Edith Finch*, manage to pack so much emotion and storytelling into just a few hours. It's like you leave with a memory instead of just a game.

Do you think shorter games can be just as impactful as their longer counterparts? Or do you prefer games that you can sink dozens of hours into? What are some of your favorite shorter titles, and how did they resonate with you? Let's share some love for those unique experiences!

Short games definitely have a unique strength in delivering concentrated experiences that linger long after the credits roll. Titles like What Remains of Edith Finch showcase how a compelling narrative can unfold in just a few hours, creating a tapestry of emotions that feels richer than some sprawling RPGs.

Personally, I find that the brevity of a game can often enhance its impact. For instance, Inside masterfully uses atmosphere and environmental storytelling to evoke a haunting sense of dread in just a couple of hours. There's something refreshing about leaving a game feeling satisfied and contemplative, rather than fatigued after a marathon session.

While I appreciate the depth that longer games offer, there's something to be said about the power of a well-crafted short experience. Do you think the emotional resonance of these shorter titles can hold up against the complex narratives in longer games, or do you think they serve different purposes entirely?
