Thank god the port didn't cost me even half as much as the original did.

I dunno, I kinda dislike how all of these console to DS games have been SRPG lately don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed them.

Now that you've said it, now much did you pay for the original?

Umm... Star Ocean 4. Star Ocean was an Enix title. Star Ocean 4 international version is also coming out. The first international version, to get an international release.

Also the Enix franchise Itadaki Street had some SE reelases.

Aside from Star Ocean and Dragon Quest though, Enix never did a whole lot of 'series' They had a lot of IPs, but most of them were one shots. The only 'series' that SE never continued was Actraiser.

Hell one of Enix's best loved titles, Valkyrie Profile, didn't even get a sequel until SquareEnix.

Ok so its more they did stuff for all the games I dislike (god my hate for Star Ocean is huge). Still they had so many classics that need to see the light of day again. Anything with quintet would be amazing, EVO, Wonder Project (which is another series that didn't get a 3rd game like Actraiser). I still think the merge didn't do much for Enix.

about 120, new, not bad considering what it goes for now.

was a great game.. but I can't help but feel that it would be butchered if they continued it, at least now. Some parts of nostalgia as best left there.

You are very right. I think I will just get my cart out of the closet. All this talk of older games makes me want to play them. I think I'm gonna play EVO and Robotrek this weekend.

Actraiser 2 did happen, just because it is crazy hard doesn't mean it doesn't count. Its still a fun game on its own, sure as a sequel not as good with the missing city building, but the action parts were a lot better, and the move set brought a lot to the table.

As for what I have against SO is that it is a Fantasy RPG, but it looks like it should a a sci-fi RPG. Then as a person looking for a sci-fi JRPG and coming across SO only to have my hopes crushed, has left a scar that will never be healed as people will argue that it is not like that. Seriously, they just like making rules of why it can't be awesome and sci-fi, oh you want to go though this gate, drop your gun and anything not fantasy based. You want to kill stuff on this undeveloped planet, well you have to use this sword to be all PR.

Robotrek... i think could have a decent sequel made with the current Gen.

It being hard has NOTHING to do with it AT all. They gutted what made the first game so great. A mix between strategy and platforming. It's no wonder Actraiser 2 was a bomb.

Who says SO is a fantasy RPG? Where is that stated? I'm sorry but I think your reasons for not liking it are some what silly, but then to each their own.
