and rent an apartment without telling me, leaving me essentially homeless and unsure on whether or not i can go to school next year

even worse was that they're not willing to tell me why they don't want to live with me and that they left me with the impression that we were still going to live with each other. instead they met behind my back and all simutaneously decided that I'm not the kind of guy they want to live with.

I agree that your roommates have proved that they're not real friends. Buck up though, there are a host of alternatives for you to secure a place to live for next year. Wherever students need to live for two hundred bucks a month, there'll be a shitty studio apartment with peeling paint and a hallway with an indescribable stench waiting for you.

There's still the point that they didn't give him any warning.

I would try and see what my legal rights are. I don't think it's legal what they did. I do know that what they did was wrong though. I hope you get on your feet soon.
