I'm on Season 4 now and loving it. All these years I'd been boycotting it and missing out on the fun.

Disk I watched had the appearance of Bart Allen which I loved. Lots of homages in there with little lines about saying he was from the future and his alternate identities being Barry and Wally.

What I really liked was how they made it pretty clear that Bart was faster.

Quite the fun show. I hear it takes a dive in a season or two, but for now... I'm glad I got into it.

When the show started, that was around when Buffy the Vampire Slayer was getting the shaft.

I'd seen the first few episodes of Smallville and it just seemed like a poor man's Buffy with MUCH less creative writing and dialogue.

I failed to see it wasn't Buffy, but something different.

Now I see it for what it is.

Super Dawson's Creek.

And yeah, I admit... I used to like Dawson's Creek.

Glad I got on board, and that there's still much to look forward to. I am very disappointed that Bruce Wayne never gets to show up on the show tho.

He would've been quite an amazing character to watch Clark interact with.

This is exactly why I can't stand Smallville. I used to watch it during the first couple of seasons, but after a time I just couldn't take it. The hokey Clark/Lana thing. The monster teenager of the week ... bleh.

Does Clark ever actually start to gain the character traits that the real Superman has? I mean as the series goes on? That was what got to me the most. They took Superman and stripped everything that made him Superman ... or Clark Kent even ... it's just some bonehead with superspeed and heat vision . Anyway ... I'm going to stop complaining now. :confused2

I am very disappointed that Bruce Wayne never gets to show up on the show tho.

Man, Bruce is too awesome to be on this show.

I actually think that DC/Warner dropped the ball in not making a Nightwing series. It would be super easy to adapt. Set it during the time when Dick Grayson is still in Bludhaven working as a police officer ... puts him on his own, so you don't have to have Batman around except for maybe a big deal storyline. Dick is a young guy, so you can put him a love triangle or two. The villains are down to Earth enough so that not too many changes would need to be made. Easy stuff!

Season 4 was the best ever, but season 6 rocked hard.

Season 6? Nah, it was pretty terrible... Just had one or two great episodes, and THE worst episode of the entire series. Have to say it's gone downhill a lot the last couple of years, now to a just 'watchable' status.

Nightwing series? Would be awesome, but could easilly go the same route Birds of Prey did... And it'd be kind of hard to have a good supporting cast.

I also didn't give this series much thought in the beginning, but I must admit I got hooked after I started watching it around season 4. I feel it's a mix between a superhero/SF series and a soap opera ... but the combination works for me. Perhaps for diehard Superman fans this series is a blasphemy, but me not being a Superman-fan in particular, can enjoy the series quite a bit for what it is: a soap opera for Science Fiction fans.

As far as US series are concerned, I'm only following Smallville, Stargate Atlantis and Heroes.
