Smallville Directly Ripping Off Buffy?

I'm watching an episode right now where Clark has woke up in a psyche ward and is being told all his super adventures weren't real.

This exact thing happened on Buffy.

What the hell??

This is a common episode type I've been seeing cropping up lately. First in Buffy, then in Charmed, now in Smallville. I like the idea, but only Buffy has done it best IMO.

You know nobody gives a bass' ass about Aquaman

True enough. Though I still think the character has potential, especially when I see Alex Ross working with him. Ross shows that you can rock Aquaman with the trident and the seahorse, with Mera, his kingdom, and his kid. I loved what Dini and Ross did with him in their JLA story. He was the superhero with a family during a time when really no superhero had one. That combined with his being a noble king and was something that helped make him unique until of course they went for the cheap shock of killing them off.

I think if the comics would stop trying so hard to make him grim and edgy and just make him work on his own merits he would be awesome. He's just not ever going to be sustain his own constant monthly book level awesome, which is likely why you're not gonna get a weekly tv show out of him either but that's fine. Not every character needs his own book just because he has some fans. Hell there a lot of DC characters that do have their own books that would be better off without them. You can always do mini-series or trades and/or you can have him appear in the League.

I guess my point is that Aquaman can be a really damn good character he's just not one that can handle the monthly format grind. Hell, even the ones who have could use a break when you really look at it.

my cousin watches the show religously, and every time he comes over hes like guess what so'n'so died,i always reply "ugh..again?"
