Shinkenger vs Go-Onger Movie Announced!

[Lynxara]

I dunno, this looks pretty fun. I want to find out what the story is with baby-eating samurai Ryuunosuke there.

Mako all dressed up swordswomany is amusing. I'll be more amused if she actually fights like that.

Are these pics from the DTV special?

What the heck is a DTV special?

Direct To Video

A movie that is released direct-to-video (also known as direct-to-DVD, made-for-video, straight-to-video, straight-to-DVD, and more recently straight-to-Blu-ray) is one which has been released to the public on home video formats (historically VHS) before or without being released in movie theaters or broadcast on television. The term is also at times used as a derogatory term for films or sequels of films that are of inferior quality, or are not expected to find financial success. Direct-to-video releases have become something of a lifeline for independent filmmakers and smaller companies.[1]

So technically, the scenes from the DTV won't be appearing in the team-up movie?

Yup. And GS posted on a wrong thread...

So is the DTV the V-Cinema thing the Shinkenger will be having?

[Lynxara]

I figured he just didn't want to resurrect the long-dead Shinkenger Rumor/Picture thread.

But isn't the DTV the V-Cinema thing? Since I do remember that the plot for the V-Cinema was that they'll be across different eras, and considering they're in the wild wild west, then it might be from the V-Cinema then?

[Lynxara]

Yeah, the V-Cinema thing was different film genres, and the cast are clearly dressed up in different sorts of movie costumes here.

I'm guessing he's supposed to be dressed like a kabukimono, referencing his kabuki background.
