Seven Star Fighting God Guferd

Seven Star Fighting God Guyferd

Holy ****, I just finished the final ep, and damn was it awesome, it also surprised the heck out of. I wasn't expecting it to end the way it did. Guyferd and his bother Deathferd, both proved themselves to be true heroes.

This series started off shakey for me. While the story seemed interesting, the action was quite lacking. But those who told me it would get better were absolutely right. Although I kinda got a little lost as the story got a little complex, the cool monster designs and the improving action kept me interested. And it was awesome to see the supporting characters join Gou (Guyferd) in battle against the bad guys.

I was trying to come up with the best way to decribe Guyferd, and it hit me while watching Guyferd use his energy attacks. It's Ultraman meets Kamen Rider. Not surprising though considering the staff included people who worked on past Ultraman shows. Most if not all of Guyferds attacks are enrgy based, though a good number invlove actual full on contact. Also the early sibling rivalry between Guyferd and Deathferd was reminicent of Kamen Rider BLACK. But if I didn't know better (or if I did), I'd say Kamen Rider Kuuga was actually inlfuenced by Guyferd. I actually forgot the specific examples :redface2: but there were a couple eps that really reminded me of Kuuga.

Guyferd turned out to be a really great series, and a great example of Toho's own henshin heroes.

Yeah, I got the R2s. Thankfully it's a short series and only had two volumes.

Though apparently there are hks of this series, but I've never seen them, nor do I know when they were released. But I have seen VCD sets, and I'm sure DVD-R sets will begin poping up, for those who want to see the series (I reccomend people do see it) and can't get the R2s.

I might actually pick these up since I have some cash to throw around now. Does the show resemble Guyver in any way? The name (especially) and the costume remind me of the Guyver to an extent.

Dang, Capcom made it, and the premise is so awesome, it's hard to believe the action could be lacking. That is, however, the main complaint I hear about this show.

The bad thing is you get burned copies instead of DVD cases. And he only excepts PayPal what the ****? I never used that before and dont know anything 'bout it.

Thread revival.

Finally got my hands on this series and I plan on starting it up tonight sometime.

I watched the OP on Youtube and the minute I saw a young Mika (Gransazer) I got a bit randy.

I'm looking forward to this series.

Could you tell me where you got it and how much it cost you? I've been hunting these DVD's for a bit now but so far no luck in finding them for a reasonable price.
