Sentai Mecha: What do you want?

I want another Ryuseioh style dragon that has a warrior mode

AND...

No more CGI Mecha.

Agreed. I told you before, I want a Knight Sentai in which the Red mecha has the center and the others are armor for it.

Yes, the sad looking big immobile clusterfucks do look alike. What's even sadder is that usually underneath all that crap is the perfectly great combiner design the team started with.

There's only been two thus far. When you say the 2000 mecha all look alike, you're saying GaoKing looks like Senpuujin looks like AbarenOh looks like Dekaranger Robo looks like MagiKing looks like DaiBouken looks like GekiTohja looks like EngineOh looks like ShinkenOh. What, really?

..and if you think all Ultraman look the same then you're not watching Ultraman. you're just skimming a few pics of a show you probably have never given a chance.

Lot of assumptions in both sentences. It was really just a joke, but I kinda figured no one would just take it for what it was.

To be honest, if you showed me a bunch of the mecha from the 2000s shows, I could probably only identify a handful. The over-abundance of power animals this decade really do make them look awfully similar to me.

Anyway, I'm so glad that CGI mecha look like they're dead in the water for now. I believe the CG robots in one early show most people like-- Abaranger?-- just totally bugged the crap out of me, they moved so sluggishly.

Basically I want to see a mech and its moves be something like this.

Toei should take notes from this.

You know that is not what I am saying. They're all fairly distinct but only BEFORE they start adding extra poweranimals, funny hats and various other gratuitous Bandai mandated crap that utterly ruins what would otherwise be a good-looking mech design making them all blur together into one big stiff multicolored plastic pile-o-****.

I liked the way they introduced the Mechas in Go-onger. Its felt like a natural part of the story and not just a random arms race.
