Sentai 2012: Tokumei Sentai Gobusters

The mechas looks awesome and I'm a fan of the wrist changers, but... To me, the suits looks as if this were a PARODY of Super Sentai instead of an actual series...

The suits look like a cross between ninja Halloween costumes and ski outfits. They don't even look like spandex in that picture.

The mecha are what I wanted to see in Go-Onger rather than the "vehicles with cute animal faces" we got. Though Red's robot mode looks ugly.

As for the heroes' names, I'm glad we finally have a show that doesn't have the "show name - color" format that's been used nonstop since Megaranger (with the only exceptions being the Gouraigers and Shurikenger.)

Finally, is this still a ghost-hunting story? A sentient computer villain (Javious I redux?) doesn't exactly mesh with that.

The mecha's look like 80's mecha design, like Ninja Senshi Tobikage, which I'm a very big fan of :thumbs:

Or that girls are bitches.

I suppose girls having cat mechas is sexist too because.... I won't go there.

i like toku robots when they are not intrusive to the action. Winspector's were :sweat:
lets face it, they are a cheap replacement for real actors.
we barely have human villains in Sentai anymore and now robots take the rangers place too ? i can understand why some people are upset

I'm not sure, but depending of its fame a voice actor can be as expensive as an on-screen actor.

Totally agree on the villain department, we need more human villains, we hadn't have one since Go-Onger. However I think of Gobusters as three Busters with their respective robot partners, I don't think they're replacing anybody.

P.d.: In the end how is the official name? "Gobuster" or "Gobusters"? I don't have it clear yet...

I'd find it a bit weird if we did get ghost-hunting, but who knows? I guess they could be like... computer spirits or something.

So I was re-checking the most recent casting rumors. (This is from yesterday, so before we got the scan.) If they are correct then based on the actors' heights I think we will be getting another Takeuchi Red/Fukuzawa Blue for the suit actors.

It would make me happy. I'd love it if we got more alternating Reds in general, it makes the crossovers more fun.

P.d.: In the end how is the official name? "Gobuster" or "Gobusters"? I don't have it clear yet...

as i understand almost every Japanese seiyuu has an extra job, it seems they are really cheap compared to actors.

there were two human villains after Go-Onger, Juuzo and Basco. having a transformation does not rule them out. Kegaleshia didnt get a monster form 'cause she was a joke villain :sweat:

and if the gashapon are any indication the robots are being advertised as real heroes

Before Ohranger there used to be usually just one or two token "rubber suit" boss villains, while the rest were played by actors. From Carranger onward it has been the reverse, mostly "rubber suits" with one or two token females played by actresses, the exceptions being Megaranger, Boukenger and Gekiranger which had an additional male actor. Shinkenger had a single male actor, which bucked the trend.

I'd like to see a pre-Ohranger style show again. Imagine if the Saima in GoGoV had been played by a whole cast instead of just one woman surrounded by suits.

OK OK , so each Senshi has 1 Robot Partner, and 1 Mecha W/ 2 Modes ( Animal, and Vehical ) HMM.... I smell a Time Robo Gattai-eque System.

Costumes: Red is growin' on me yet, the other 2 just don't look good @ all!! Bring on mo' scans && some footy!
