I have to disagree with you there, I mean Captain Planet ran for over a hundred episodes after all.

Captain Planet managed this by devoting episodes to some of the absolute goddamn strangest plots I have ever seen.

There is an episode devoted to Captain Planet dressing in drag and seducing Hoggish Greedly, for instance.

If Go-onger had been this weird, I think I would've actually liked it a little more.

Don't forget that AIDS episode. An angry mob wanting to hang a young boy by having AIDS? That's some crazy ****.

That sort of thing went down in the 80s but putting in a 90s cartoon was just nuts.

The drug abuse episode was also pretty messed up... and I think they had an episode where Captain Planet made all the Jews and Arabs in the Middle East best friends forever and ever.

Plus ended the conflict in Northern Ireland and all racial strife in South Africa, they were busy that time. But the best ones are the ones involving time travel, like the with the future where eco-criminal gangs rule the Earth and the only plants left are under a fake garbage dumb. Also there is was the weird food poisoning episode involving seafood and the rat-man.

Yeah, the time traveling ones were good. One where the guy who had the Fire ring wished he hadn't accepted it, and then sees visions of the future where there was never a Captain Planet because he couldn't come without all the "powers combined"... Needless to say, it wasn't pretty.

There's also an EVIL ALTERNATE FUTURE where Ma-Ti dies or something, doesn't he? I mean be conflating two different episodes, I know there's one where Ma-Ti defeats this ridiculously badass villain as roughly the only time he ever gets to do anything.

Don't forget the episode where the Planeteers travel back in time to Nazi Germany.
