Maaaan, the new Zatoichi film totally bombed, guess it will be the last one. D:

there was another one? who was zatoichi this time?

[Aoi Kurenai]

Shingo Katori. :O It's called "Zatoichi: The Last" annnnd yeah, didn't do too well, so I can imagine it really is the last one.

[GekiBlack]

damnit.. the yen value dropped >_<

I hope the yen continues to drop ... damn, it suddenly got stronger after that debt crisis in Europe >.<

No disrespect to Shingo or anything like that, because he IS a pretty good performer/entertainer for the most part. It's just that he's spent so much of his career with the "goofy, happy-go-lucky" character that it's just really, REALLY hard to take him seriously in a role like this.

Exactly. Need someone who can pull off that kind of role to really do it justice.

I've never even heard of it. I take it it's a series of movies with different actors in the title role? Kinda like 007?

i guess that's one way of putting it... it HAS been around for a while XD

[Blade Dancer]

Huh, interesting. One of these days you all will have to tell me which of the movies I should watch, and I'll put them on my list.

[Lynxara]

I caught the first Zatoichi flick when it aired at a local art-house theater. It was a fun time but I never would've imagined it could support so many sequels.

[Blade Dancer]

Hey, Lynx! *waves*
