Question to Gundam fans.

I finally got to finish watching Gundam F91, and I have to say, Wow!

But then a thought happened. (That's always how things go from good to bad)

Why were people so uptight about Trans-am in 00, but barely complained about the usage of it in some of the earlier series like F91?

Different folks different strokes, some of those probably complained about that in F91 as well.

However do note that 00 is a currently airing popular series while F91 was only a not so popular movie (that was originally produced to be a TV series) movie released some time ago. So a good deal of those people that complained about that probably have not seen F91.

And most early Gundam series did not have that "Super mode" bit that 00 and F91 had. From the old UC ones all I can think of is F91 and a bit of Char's Counterattack that had that.

I have got to rewatch that as well. Don't forget Turn A and his magical mustache of doom.

The only reason I ask is(for once) not an internet based feud.
A person was complaining how Seed and 00 ruined the franchise by making them all super robots and ,the same ending response of many a gundam fan for several years now, that UC was better.

Well I don't consider Turn A UC nor an early Gundam series.

This person thinks Seed and 00 are super and not real? :eyebrow: Oookaaay. Both series pull off a lot of plot armor and super mode crap but thats not enough for them to be super robot series. Of all the Gundam series G is really the only one thats super.

Well its all about personal choice, personally I favor most UC series over Seed and 00 by far. And its pretty much the general consensus that UC is generally better than most of the newer Gundam series. Some of them make up a bullshit reason like the guy you mentioned, others try to bring a good argument to the table but usually resort to referencing the original, Zeta, 0080, Crossbone, and Unicorn.
