Looking at the pictures, the jackets varies by gender. Guys have a horizontal strap going to the left; girls goes to the right.

I thought the exact same thing. Luckaly we have Geki and Den-O to keep our toku hungry souls fed.

I'm torn about this myself, I do want to encourage orginality in PR, as it Desperatly needs it. But creating a character that is too drastically different from the character in the sentai creates for some pretty awkward moments, especially if they end up copying episodes nearly scene for scene (Biggest Offender I can think of off the top of my head is Vida in MF, and the Titan episodes "Adapation")

Of course I don't know how they are going to handle OO red, so this concern could be over nothing. But in the end, I'm shooting more for character consistency then uber originality.

But as of now, I can't really complain, I don't know how they are going to pull it off, it's merely a concern.
