Post Civil War Talkback - *SPOILERS*

guess there really isn't much more to say, just hope that everything works out for the best...

... damn, it HAD to end like that

I agree the whole ending thing seemed rushed and there are still a whole lot of unanswered questions. But the thing is that it isn't over yet. The fighting that was named civil war might had ended but that story line hasn't ended yet. We still don't know what Ironman's ultimate plan is, like he said he is still on number 45 out of a hundred step plan. Who knows, we might be surprised yet.

Also Im very tired of people messing with poor spidey, what more are they going to do to the poor guy?

That's what he gets for being a realistic superhero.

Isn't that the charm of WebHead in the first place though?

I guess CW was bound to happen. It makes sense that someone would try to line all the powers together and try to get them in line. They did that with mutants for the longest time, and seeing as it's never worked, a new shortage of mutants, and an increasing number of superpowered folk showing up all the time... It was inevitable.

I don't like it. I really hate how it ended, but I can't think of it ending a better way, short of Nick Fury shooting Stark in the head...

...Which now that I think about it seems like a really, REALLY good idea...

Could you point out to me something good Bendis has done that doesn't have the word Ultimate in the title or deal with a non-mainstream hero?

Thats like saying "Show me something good that Stan Lee has done that didn't turn into some milestone character" or "Show me something good Frank miller has done without relying on kick-ass internal monologue" or .... actually I think my point is made.

You say show me something good Bendis has done but don't count all the good stuff he's done? Marvel was floundering on "Tried and True" characters, bringing Jessica jones into the mix. Revitilizing Luke Cage, starting the ultimate line (Which in turn eventually lead to the incomprihensibly successful zombie-verse line) and doing a MAJOR shake up of the avengers (Which I grant you is kind of lame that it should get fractured into 2 teams so soon after)

ok, I guess it's my turn to make myself a villian and say what i've been meaning to say to EVERYONE who's been folliwng the Civil War saga unfold, and if you think less of me, im sorry...

THIS IS NOT HOW SUPERHEROES ARE SUPOST TO FUCKING BE!

Superheroes are supost to be larger then life.
Superheroes are supost to be there for everyone.
Superheroes sacrifice themselves for the better good and the better future.
Superheroes fight to make the wrongs in this world right.
Superheroes are FUCKING HEROES.

Thats what it all is at the end. Ignoring consequences, ignoring that the next to you is a prick and realizing that the better of the world is in stake, knowing that people can walk outside in a future where they feel safe, not threaten.

Not making lines in the sand over whats right and wrong. I'm not suprised during all this mess, The Kree or the Skrulls or a group of villians or a new villian would of said "oh LOL! they are aguing amonst themselves! let's go attack earth or attack everyone and finaly get a win!".

All this was to marvel was to get people to talk about their comics since they got their asses handed back to them after DC did Infinite Crisis. Unlike Crisis, where the battlelines where blatenly there and we knew who was good and evil, here, I dont know who's who anymore. Everyone exept Spider-Man and the X-Men are dead to me now in the Marvel Universe and I for one feel alienated at everythint that lead up, happend during and is now the fall-out. Everyone is still bickering, everyone dosent stop arugeing and people are forgeting what a True hero is.

you all make me sick.

you heard me.

you all make me sick.

you all where brought into this disgusting idea of degloryfing superheroes and making them monsters. Never in my life have I seen such things happen in comics or anywhere in general and now I feel alianed, I feel unconfrotable, I feel repulsed, I feel scared! I AM FUCKING SCARED NOW! im fucking scared of everyone now who I open my god damn mouth at about comics, because the first words that will come out of their mouths will be this. And then argueing happends and ****, nothing gets resolved, everyone still acts like an asshole to eachother and for what? FOR WHAT!? ANSWER ME THAT YOU FUCKING PRICKS! WHAT IS IT THAT YOUR WHERE WITH TONY OR STEVE!? DOES IT FUCKING MATER? WELL? DOES IT?

IT FUCKING DOSENT!

because they are not heroes anymore. They dont fight crime, they dont fight for justice, they dont do ****! they just want to go at it and prove who's right and who's wrong.

Thats why I will site with DC Comics, thats why i'll site with the Super Sentai Heroes, Thats why i'll site with the Kamen Riders... they would never stoop to such a disgusting low. If this happend to ANY of them, they'd find somesort of resolution for the better, never for the worst.

If you all want to see an Example of how a real superhero story should be, pick up Kingdom Come and then come back to me with a counterargument about witch one was better. A story about heroes fighting eachother, or a story about realizing what it means to be a hero, at be it, at a heafty price and much bloodshed.

The Ultimate line was not Bendis's idea, and I gave you already that Ultimate Spider-man is good.
Jessica Jones was meant to be Jessica Drew. So it's not a new character.
Luke Cage is an interesting addition, but "revitalizing" and "shoving him down our throat" are two different things.
Avengers Disassembled is one of the most hated arcs with good reason. Pointless deaths do not make you a brilliant writer. Bendis does not understand this, clearly.
