The effects would be expensive, but if you look at the realistic concepts of Pokemon on DeviantArt, it could be done. Just need them to look legit and possibly follow the game mechanics rather than the anime's . Mix in some Adventures and you'll have a great pokemon film.

The Pokemon film could be one of those Cartoon Network original films like Ben 10 but their effects are much better.
