Well, they added the girl option, I'm pretty sure that's been in pictures, and the opposite is your secondary rival.
Other than that everything looks absolutely beautiful. I liked Diamond a lot, enough to finish it, but I think I'm going to spend a lot more time on SS. The new gameplay features are really good and adds more to the Pokemon experience. Everything feels smooth.

I'm kind of frustrated with grinding for now, but it's not too bad. Currently:

Yeah I'm not super far. I'm just trying to take it all in, this is a great update to the best gen of Pokemon.

Everything you remember is there, and then some. If you know your kana it's easy to read too.

I know this isn't about HG or SS...but just as an FYI, the new Mystery Dungeon game "PMD: Explorers of Sky" is coming out October 12th.

Same here. Can't wait 'till games get released here in the US. I'm getting both and using the added feature of getting the Kanto and Hoenn starters to my advantage later on .

Here's what I'm choosing for starters:

HG: Totodile , Bulbasaur, Torchic
SS: Cyndaquil, Treecko, Squirtle
SS (2nd Time): Chikorita, Charmander, Mudkip


My Line Up for the beginning:
(The Starter)
Geodude (Resistant to Flying/Normal types)
Hoothoot (Psychic/Flying attacks)
Sentret or Rattata (Fastness and because they're awesome)
Spinarak (The Poison)
Spearow ( It's Attack)

It like goes Black after you name your characters on all the ones I have found
