The Heart and Humor of "DuckTales" (2017) Is Underrated

[San Goku]

The 2017 reboot of "DuckTales" really nailed the blend of heart and humor, especially in the dynamic between Scrooge and his grandnephews. That moment in the first episode where they go on an epic treasure hunt while showcasing their character growth is pure gold. The voice casting, especially David Tennant as Scrooge, brought a fresh, energetic take that made it memorable. This series is a fantastic reminder of how modern animation can respect the old while adding something new.

The dynamic between Scrooge and his grandnephews was definitely a highlight, and I loved how David Tennant brought a vibrant energy to the character. I just wish some of the humor didn't feel a bit too geared towards modern audiences; it sometimes overshadowed the charm of the original.
