Persona 5 Announced

It's almost a lock that it will at least be PS3 or PSP since the last interview with Katsura Hashino regarding P5 was for Dengeki Playstation. Anything else would pretty much just be a bonus. Though Atlus Japan (or Atlus USA for that matter) isn't particularly known for multiplatform releases so it's anyone's guess what they'll do here. A 360 version would make sense given the market share, but given the economy, unless there's a Japanese 360/PS3 release, it may not be in their cards to get a 360 port for the US.

PSP is always a possibility given that Japan is releasing Persona 3 Portable later this year.

God, I loved Persona 4.

My odds are on Persona 5 being Atlus's first major PS3 release. PS2 isn't viable in the US and nobody will accept a portable Persona as a true next entry in the series.

I wouldn't put a 360/PS3 release past Atlus, given how much Americans like Persona.

The thing I liked most about P4 is that is kept you wanting more. WHO DONE IT... Man.. I should replay it.

I loved the setting. Aside from the town being in Japan, I grew up in a little place that was really similar, right down to a big chain store moving into town and completely changing people's lives.

The mystery part of the game was also extremely well-done and I really loved the game's True Ending and final dungeon. Persona 3 was also a good game but felt a little divorced from the rest of the Shin Megami Tensei series. Persona 4 restored most of the traditional stuff that P3 cut and I think was better for it.

I could see having problems with P3, but P4 addressed all of that by letting you control the party directly.

What was crappy about the story and battle system? I mean the Persona 3 and 4 battle system is amazing. What in the heck are you talking about? :redface2::eyebrow:
The storytelling was incredibly dull alternating between daily life **** and dungeon crawling, the dialogue was poor, the characters were just like something you'd find in any anime. The battle system was too stiff, slow and repetitive.
