Persona 5 Announced

In a recent interview with the director of Persona 4, Katsura Hashino, he confirmed that he and his team were at work on the next game in the series, Persona 5.

... And that's about all we know at this point. They haven't even said what system it could be for or if it will even be a single-system title at this point.

Could it be the Wii? The PS3? It most likely won't be the 360 unless they decide to multi-platform it for the sake of the US fandom. Persona 3, after all, was pretty much the game that finally got the SMT franchise some real attention on this side of the ocean (Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga tried but neither could ever escape their niche status).

And of course, there's stuff like the plot and characters we should be interested in too, I guess.

But we'll have to wait and see.

God, I loved Persona 4.

My odds are on Persona 5 being Atlus's first major PS3 release. PS2 isn't viable in the US and nobody will accept a portable Persona as a true next entry in the series.

I wouldn't put a 360/PS3 release past Atlus, given how much Americans like Persona.

If Persona 5 is released on a system I don't own, I will put on colored tights and go out into the night as a murderer and rapist.

Well Atlus was hiring for a 360/PS3 Programmer(s?) back in October, So I'm thinking this is why they were searching for one.
