parents annoying you about getting a job

im 24 years old

What the hell? Of course you need a job... :sly:

If you're the kind of person who lives with their parents and sits in front of the computer all day, then God help you.

If you're 24, you either need to be working and getting out on your own, or going to school.

I agree with your parents 100%.

You've just insulted 99.9% of the board.:P

You're probably right. :disappoin

It's not my intention to insult anyone, it's just the truth.

You need to be out and about, instead of spending every waking hour in front of the computer.

I have to be active. I just couldn't be on the computer all day long. :rolleyes2:

I've been working since I was 16, and I'll be 23 in a few days.

You need to get your self a job BoukenSilver. They're not fun, they suck, but they build character and they give you money. It's not that hard to get a job either, so just go do it. Go work in a gas station or mc'donalds or a grocery store or SOMETHING, but find work.

I absolutely agree with, Ky!

I was like that some months ago. I would sit in front of the computer for hours and hours...and the day would just pass me by. And even though I'm not out there as much being "active" as a teenager should, I've definitely decreased my computer/TV hours. That's a good start.

As for looking for a job, I spent two straight weeks walking the streets, looking for a job. In my case, I happened to get a late start, and a lot of the jobs have been taken by all the other "early birds"- individuals who wake up early, and get a head start (much like the bird finding the worm).

Dude, if you're 24, and you're sitting in the house waiting for an opportunity; you're day is never gonna come. No offense intended. Living with your parents is fine, but you have to at least go to school, get out the house 95% of your time there, and more importantly getting a job. Like...now.

If you're tired of your parent's getting on your back, you need to take the initiative and get up EVERY day looking...All. Day. Long. If you think you're missing something important online...you're not. The computer is going nowhere. However, I need to practice what I preach.

Again, I reiterate what I said above. You need to get out there and do your job, as Man find a job. In your case, something that will be your life-long employment. But for now, just looking for a job in general has to be your MAIN focus.

Yeah, I'm guilty of spending almost the whole day one the computer. It's an addiction, definitely, need to go out more and do something productive.

Anyways. I was pressured into finding a job by my parents. Hell, they forced me to do resumes and call up job agencies. Having to hear my parent's loud rants about getting a job was agonizing. But, luckily, I found a job and I don't have to hear my parents bitch-and-whine about me not having a job.
