While Daredevil wasn't the best movie in the eyes of many and personally.... I had no problem with it. I had no problem with the King Pin being black. The character was there and there was no question.

There was also the case of Spider-Man: The Animated Series where Kingpin was voiced by the late Roscoe Lee Browne.

Not really. It's the same case as John Stewart the Green Lantern. In Marvel's Ultimate Universe, Nick Fury is black, and basically looks exactly like Samuel L. Jackson ... so it was only natural that they got Jackson to play Fury in the movies.

they based the Ultimate version of Nick Fury on Samuel L Jackson, and when it came to casting for the silver screen, the Marvel thought, why not?

my opinion on this, like some others said, Bond is an iconic character which shouldn't be messed with.
