I personally don't see a connection between the two. And Toei isn't being even distasteful by showing this episode on the 12th (not the 11th unlike USA) of September for Japan and my country as well.

They make the shows for Japanese Kids to watch it, so they don't expect foreigners to watch it.

I don't think it was even intentional, and I don't see a point in getting upset considering the fact that these episodes were filmed long before it started airing and the date is merely coincidental. Plus, I HIGHLY doubt that Toei could care less about the Western World.

I honestly don't see it. Plenty of buildings have been destroyed like that in movies. This one was just so the ant could get to the higher building so Eiji could run in.
