I hate april's fool day!

It should be banned long time ago! How in hell did "April's fool" holiday was created in the first place?! :redface2:

I dunno... something to do with pagan new year starting on April 1st or something.

And fish jokes factor in there somewhere.

Surprisingly the April Fools gag on Youtube does have it's advantages. On videos there is now a "text-only" mode in addition to normal resolutions, complete with a silly response line: "By using text-only mode, you are saving YouTube $1 a second in bandwidth costs. Click here to go back to regular YouTube and happy April Fools Day!". Using this mode renders whatever video you select with a pseudo-ascii filter, using random characters to "represent" the various megapixels of the video and it actually looks pretty cool. Try it out if you're curious enough.

All I see is a 'new video page' which actually looks awful, but I guess they're in the holiday spirit.

Agreed. I absolutely *HATE* April Fools Day with the fury of a million suns. I already easily get sick of people who constantly joke/fool around because I never know when they're being serious and when they're not. Even when I'm being dead serious, they wouldn't be as if they're far too stupid to notice it. It's like Data with his emotion chip going out of control in Star Trek Generations... but 24/7... being a fool and joking in the most inappropriate context/situations. :redface2: ...I see April Fools as a day for people who don't even do such things, do to such things. And for people who already do such things, to go all-out.

Fortunately, people who know me in real life know that I don't exactly have a great sense of humor (...so sue me! >_>) and not everything is just "harmless good humor" to me. Hence, I don't ever have to worry about any pranks from friends and family on April 1st. They know better than to **** with me...

I liked Google's prank today. They got me for about 2 minutes, that's when I realized what the date was today.

And by the way, the only people who truly hate April Fool's day are the people who suck doing pranks and get hit with them too much. I personally love it, so there ya go whiners. :loltongue:

What happened last year was a lot of crap, and IMO the people that did that got off to light. Keith is a much nicer person that people give him credit for in that instance.
