That's the way I feel about all the Japanese TF shows I've seen.

Masterforce is the best out of the Japanese TF series, of course, it's also the most "true to form" TF series out of them, humans are a-plenty, but they serve the storylines rather than be used as wallpaper that react to things that the audience can clearly tell for themselves.

I like the Unicron Wars portion of Armada/Micron Legend also, the series actually becomes something truer to TF, there's less Mini-Con collecting, and for once there's one human/TF relationship that, through different gender alone, saves it from being considered utterly gay (Alexis/Starscream). Not bad huh?

Aside from that, Japan honestly have rarely (and even when they do, they don't trust the source material enough), "got" what makes TF so appealing, and think they need additional things that serve more or less their own style and ways of doing things, it's graffiti on a landmark.

You mean the shows that you've only seen in their edited formats and have personally said you wouldn't bother trying the originals? Because I can see how that's a real fair argument.

I'm not saying they're all good, because God knows that's a lie, but to say they're all horrible without even so much as trying to watch the originals isn't all that fair.

Too bad the other Region Two UK releases of the Takara series beyond Headmasters does'nt have the singapore dubs produced for them

I didnt say it was fair. :laugh: But that's me being honest. I have such a sour taste in my mouth from what I've seen on TV that I'm not interested. It's kind of like saying "you hate Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, SPD, Mystic Force, and Operation Overdrive but you havent seen the original seasons! how dare you!"

I never intended to say the ones I havent seen are terrible. It's just the impression that I get.

Ah but I've seen episodes of Galaxy Force and Superlink and both were terrible. And both had good but flawed toys. Case in point, GF Convoy, good toy except its the most heavily armed fire truck I've ever seen AND you can SEE HIS HEAD in vehicle form.

At the very least the Japanese got good designs. I would have prefered designs closer to Galaxy Force than the Bionicle ones we got.

They look NAKED! I mean seriously if you were going to war wouldn't you like some...ya know protection? Their armoring is all made of small tiny parts and they got an insane ammount of innards exposed to enemy fire it's ridiculous!!

QFT undrave. I maintain my opinion that I will walk out of that film and say "WOW, that was an amazing film...where were the Transformers?"

But As I've always said: "Let the Japanese, Design, Animate, score, broadcast, market & voice the Transformers, but when It comes time for a script I don't want an asian within 300 miles of that Pen"

Well they do have guns, just kind of, I guess realistic designs... I mean Ironhide has TWO huge freakin cannons on his arms.

Not a big fan of the movie designs (and I'm not picking up any of the toys untill they get clearanced if at all) but the Japanese designs... eh.... And the gratitous Optimus combining with someone else is very old.

I think the should have added a bit more color, to make it easier to differentiate between the various baddies. It's pretty hard to tell just WHO is Megatron in that spot -- Since the innards are all exposed, add some coloring to that so they don't need to make a silly red jet.

Oh and Stealth Bomber Soundwave from Galaxy Force was awesome!

The only real way to tell it was Megatron was because of the scale. Meg's is BIGGER then anyone else including Prime.

And GF Soundwave.... eh, not a good toy. Arm Kibble, bad legs, you can see his head if you flip it over, not good posability... Only good part was Laserbeak.
