NBA 2012/13 Season Discussion Thread

Dwayne Wade, where art thou? I think it is obvious that this Heat team is relying on Lebron James too much. Something is really off about Wade. We know he is having issues with his knee but I wonder if something else is going on. I also believe the match-up problems with David West and Roy Hibbert have shown the Heat that they can't get away with playing Bosh at Center and Lebron at PF. Got to be more traditional. With Game 7 in Miami and the Birdman Birdman back, I think the Heat will pull off the win. This series has been worth watching.

Sad that Grant Hill had to retire because he was definitely one of the best players in the mid-90s before injuries took away his abilities. If there was a second best player to choose from in the NBA back then behind Jordan, it was Grant Hill. I remember Hill always had a high overall rating in the old NBA Live games and that was important to remember because Jordan wasn't in the games. What a shame injuries have done to Hill, Penny Hardaway, Chris Webber and Jamal Mashburn.

Yeah I thought Game 7 was going to be a slobberknocker of a game but it sure was off. Lol...Lebron James knew he had a reputation to protect so he came out firing on all cylinders. It helped that Dwayne Wade finally showed up in a Playoff game too. I think this was his first 20+ point game of the whole postseason. Paul George was a non-factor in this game and man did he foul out early with 7 mins left in the 4th quarter. With the Heat facing against the Spurs in the Finals, we are finally going to get the matches that never was during this whole season. It's going to be interesting. I'm picking the Heat in 7 games because I want to see the Spurs lose in the Finals for once in their lives. Sorry fellas...

Ahhhh...long time no post.

Welp, Miami makes the Finals again and I'm not that surprised. This time finally they face a top notch opponent in the Spurs and they could very be taken out this if Wade/Bosh decide to pull a JR Smith again.

However...I predict Heat in 6. :shakefist

Looks like everytime Miami loses a game, they are guaranteed going to slaughter their opponent in the next game. Game 2 was a perfect example of that. I didn't see the game because of work but it looks like the Heat turned it up in the 3rd quarter. Sick block from Lebron James onto Tiago Splitter. I have no idea how this series is going to unfold.

San Antonio kept it close throughout the first 2 1/2 quarters.

Then Miami just ran away with it after. O_o

Oh I see.

Game 3 came and gone and the Spurs absolutely slaughtered the Heat. The Heat had no answers for the blistering shooting display the Spurs had especially coming from Danny Green and Gary Neal. Mike Miller was the only hot shooter from the Heat. This was one of the most lopsided losses in Finals history and I'm sure the Heat are going to be aggressive for the next game.

Some interesting coaching moves going on too right. I will be laughing if George Karl gets hired by the Grizzlies and the Nuggets hire Lionel Hollins. Talk about trading coaches. And I don't think Jason Kidd should just get a Head Coaching position right after retiring. If he does that, it might cause problems for all former players who retired and wanted to get straight into a Head Coaching job. Some had to start at the very bottom.

Don't know what happened to the San Antonio defense but it seems like at some point in the 4th they stopped playing. Credit to Lebron for keeping the Heat in it but I saw a bunch of lapses that you can't even blame on the officials directing the game.
