House of the Dragon's character intro is still a problem in Season 3

I just read a piece from ComicBook.com about how Season 3 of House of the Dragon is trying to elevate its main conflict, but it's being held back by what they call the show's worst character introduction. It's interesting that even with attempts to fix it, this intro continues to drag down the narrative.

The article gets into the dynamics of power struggles around the Iron Throne, which feels very reminiscent of the earlier seasons of Game of Thrones.

Despite Season 3's attempts to fix it, the worst character introduction is still dragging it down.

Anyone else feel like some character arcs are really off in this season?

I've noticed that too, especially with how character introductions can set the tone for the entire season. It seems like some arcs feel rushed or just lack the depth we experienced in Game of Thrones, which is disappointing considering how well they built characters back then.

It's a shame when a character's intro doesn't resonate, because it can undermine their development and the overall stakes of the story. I found some of Rhaenyra's choices in Season 3 to be particularly jarring compared to her motivations in earlier episodes. Do you think certain characters might improve with time, or is it just a lost cause at this point?
